THE Broccoli Salad

THE Broccoli Salad

3 cups broccoli florets

6 slices cooked bacon (crumbled)

1 cup red onion

1 cup cheddar cheese (shredded)

Dressing

1/4 cup sugar

1 cup mayonnaise (not miracle whip)

2 tbsp white vinegar

In a large bowl, combine sugar, mayonnaise, and white vinegar. Mix well.

Chop broccoli so the florets are in various sizes. Place broccoli into the bowl containing

the dressing.

Add crumbled bacon, onion, and cheddar cheese. Mix well.

Refrigerate for an hour or more then serve.

Very, very simple and very, very good. Double or triple recipe if you are having a

bigger get together.

The taste of this salad is really quite impressive for so few ingredients; and

nothing compliments a good meal, like a good side dish. And this is it!!!

  1. I have always used this recipe and love it only instead of shredding my cheese I cut it in bite size cubes. For a switch I also add cauliflower pieces and shredded carrots….
